Lawlapalooza is back on Friday, July 31, 2026 at The Magic Bag in Ferndale for a night of live music put on by lawyers, friends, and local musicians who care about doing something useful with a stage and a crowd!
This year’s lineup features The 3148s, The Common Scolds, Cameron Getto, Don Cummings, and D-Rock and Friends. It’s going to be loud, packed, and a hell of a good time.
Over the years, this event has raised more than $55,000 for local charities. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000, with all proceeds going to the Access to Justice Campaign.
The ATJ Campaign is a statewide, collaborative fundraising effort administered by the Michigan State Bar Foundation (MSBF) and operated in partnership with the State Bar of Michigan (SBM), to increase resources for 14 civil legal aid programs across the state. 100% of your donation will be distributed to support civil legal aid for low-income families. Civil legal aid gives low-income individuals and families access to the justice system, a most basic human right. The civil legal aid programs in Michigan help people protect and preserve their livelihoods, their health, their homes, and their families. The Michigan legal community can support this essential work by giving to the ATJ Campaign.
In 2024, approximately 1.7 million Michigan residents were eligible for free civil legal aid because their annual income is below 125% of the federal poverty level ($40,188 for a family of 4). Currently, there is only one Michigan legal aid attorney for every 4,350 people who qualify, and 74% of low-income households experienced at least one civil legal problem in the past year.
Net proceeds will be donated to the ATJ Campaign. If you can make it, tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door. If you can’t get to the box office, reach out and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
